TikTok users are dumping their favorite candies into bowls and revealing their most terrifying traumas in a trend called “Candy Salad Trauma Dump.”
In May, the “candy salad” trend on TikTok went viral, with users rounding up their favorite candy and groups of friends to create a salad that was much sweeter than their leafy greens salad.
Participants introduced themselves while dropping their favorite candies into the bowl. They looked a lot like Anderdingus, the kindergartener who became the trend-setter and most talked about “cute” candy salad.
A new wave of TikTok “candy salad” trend has people dumping bags of candy into bowls while confessing their most terrifying traumas.
TikTok user Jess K went viral after sharing a traumatic candy-tossing video with her friend Alexa, in which Jess revealed she was “robbed at gunpoint” before pouring out her first bag of candy.
Jess went on to say that everyone used to call her “Dumbo” when she was little. But what viewers found “unique” was when Jess revealed that in middle school, she was called things like “fire crotch” and “gingivitis” because she had red hair.
TikTok user Parker Pannell did the “Candy Salad Trauma Dump” trend with his family, revealing that his mother gave him edamame beans when he was six months old.
The vegetable then got stuck in his throat and after doctors operated on him he was left with “permanent damage” to his vocal cords.
His sister Lucy then revealed that he had broken four of her fingers, three of which had been “jammed in the door”.
And as TikTok user Gabriella and her friends tossed their traumas and candy into a bowl, she revealed that she’d spent the first four years of her life in a less than favorable environment.
After her friend mentioned her trauma, viewers who watched the video couldn’t help but fall in love with her “vibe.”
Similar to the “Candy Salad Trauma Dump” trend, TikTok’s “Match My Freak” trend has users revealing personal memories.
While it may not be the worst thing to ever happen, TikTok users have gone viral, broadcasting some of their most embarrassing antics in the hopes of garnering likes from people with similar interests.
