Goldfish Swimming School
The swim school offers indoor lessons year-round for children ages 4 months to 12 years. The tropical-themed facility includes a viewing gallery where parents can observe lessons. Other amenities include birthday parties, private changing rooms, showers, drying stations, and free open swimming for members.
Mindful Hands Massage
Mobile Table Massage Service is owned and operated by Gudjon Bergman. Services are primarily provided in homes, but you can also book a Mindful Hand Massage for an event or retreat. The service serves a wide area including Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, Wimberley, and South Austin.

The retail store opened in Sunset Valley and offers a variety of beauty products, including hair color and makeup.
Kabobob
A Baja California-inspired restaurant has opened at The Shops at Onion Creek. The new location is one of two the Austin-based restaurant chain is opening in South Austin. The Onion Creek location is located where a Subway was previously located. Cabo Bob’s serves tacos, burritos, nachos and more.
eSLP Clinic
The speech therapy clinic has opened a second location, treating speech disorders and more for both children and adults. The clinic, run by Kerri Salvatore, also has a location at 800 Hwy. 290, Ste. 600D, Dripping Springs.
Discount Tires
The tire shop has opened its third South Austin location in West Oak Hill. Discount Tire offers tire and wheel maintenance, as well as safety inspections and air pressure checks.

Austin Pets Alive Regional Pet Hospital and ICU
The Austin-based animal welfare organization plans to open a new veterinary hospital this summer as part of a four-part plan to improve care and access in the area, and officials say the new hospital will be able to treat 1,000 more infected puppies and kittens than before.
Urban Lagree
The boutique fitness studio is owned by locals Abigail Rosser and Katie Hayes, who opened their first location in Central Austin in 2019. Lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact workout done on a machine called the MegaReformer.
Massenasium
A new math learning and tutoring center will open later this summer in SouthPark Meadows Shopping Center. Mathnasium offers customized math study plans for kids in grades 1 through 12. Tutors also help with test prep, homework and early childhood math development. The owner of the new location is Aileen Yu.
Money’s Playhouse
A Kyle-based daycare will soon open its first brick-and-mortar daycare in Austin. Madeline Wack and her husband own and operate Money’s Playhouse out of their home near Lehman High School in Kyle. Money’s Playhouse provides full-time care for infants up to age 3.
TSOChinese
Co-founders Ming Cho, Angel Tsang, and Jenna Cho plan to open a new Chinese delivery and takeout outlet at the corner of Slaughter Lane and Manchaca Road later this year. Austin-based TSO Chinese prides itself on offering modern takes on traditional Chinese takeout dishes like General Tso’s and orange chicken, along with free delivery and a no-tipping policy.
Closing
Magnificent fun
The family entertainment center will be closing, an announcement was made on social media on June 6. Epic Fun offered laser tag, mini bowling, an arcade, axe throwing and more.
Mi Casa Gallery
After nearly 30 years on South Congress Avenue, the gallery and shop closed at the end of April and moved to Johnson City as Camino. Mi Casa Gallery sells a variety of Mexican and Southwestern-inspired art, pottery, jewelry and more.
Sunroom
The women’s clothing and accessories shop, founded by Lucie Jollis in 2013, has closed its location inside the South Congress Hotel. The Sunroom store in Malibu, California, will relocate and remain open. The online store will also remain open.
