BEAVERCREEK, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#DODDataIntegration–Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI) was one of 20 companies selected by the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (Space RCO) to compete for work under the Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to help develop the next generation ground software system for military satellites.
The R2C2 IDIQ is being competed as a set-aside for small businesses looking to build commercial ground systems. cloud and architecture to support dynamic space operations missions. Through this IDIQ contract, Space RCO will compete and issue task orders for software tools and infrastructure designed to enable Space Force operators to reposition satellites and perform other operations with greater agility. A Space RCO spokesperson said the joint program office will procure the software systems in “bite-sized” increments and expects to award the first task orders within the coming months.
“FTI is proud to be a mission partner of the U.S. Space Command and is honored to continue providing our technology and expertise in data integration, data management and satellite ground systems to enhance U.S. space operations,” said FTI President Jose Hidalgo.
FTI is deeply involved with the Space Force’s ground systems, integrating vast amounts of data sources, including satellite command and control, communications networks, and various sensor systems. FTI’s integration capabilities break down information silos and collaboration Sharing across different mission owners allows valuable insights to be generated and shared more quickly.
FTI’s analytical capabilities deliver critical insights from complex data sets. Advanced algorithms and Machine Learning FTI’s analytical solutions include: big data Identifying patterns, predicting outcomes, and optimizing resource allocation – these capabilities will enable the Space Force to improve operational efficiency, rapidly identify and respond to potential threats, and drive innovation in the rapidly evolving space domain.
