Sopra Banking Software (SBS) and Paymentology have partnered to provide comprehensive card issuance services within the next generation SBP digital core platform.
The strategic partnership will be effective from early 2024 and will provide card issuance and transaction processing services within SBS’s next-generation Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) core banking platform, SBP Digital Core.
SBP Digital Core is designed to support a wide range of banking services such as deposits, payments, lending, compliance, and regulatory reporting. SBS has developed specialized connectors to streamline and accelerate the integration process.

Paymentology leverages secure APIs, highly granular and enhanced decision-making engines, rich real-time data to deliver next-generation services, and is approved by certain card schemes to act as an issuer processor.
Commenting on this partnership, Richard Broadbent, General Manager, Digital Core, Sopra Banking Software“This strategic partnership marks an important milestone for SBS as it moves into issuer processing for the first time. It will enable us to expand our services within the SBP Digital Core and provide our customers with enhanced card issuance and processing capabilities. It will be like this.”
