Roxy is E. Brookfield’s second chance. (Courtesy of Second Chance Animal Services)
Second Chance Animal Services currently has two puppies in urgent need of suitable homes. Last week’s theme was Loki, but this week Roxy, a shepherd mix, is in the spotlight.
According to a volunteer at the shelter, Roxy was “adopted as a puppy and was never socialized.” Therefore, she needs a home with an adult and no other animals. She can be reactive so you will need to muzzle her when you go out. She will need to “meet and greet” her potential adopters multiple times to build her confidence.
However, Roxy loves to play and has a silly side as well. Her adoption fees have already been covered by generous donors. All that remains is the right person or her family to come forward and say “yes” to a sweet girl who was treated badly as a little puppy.
