#60 Iron Lynx Lamborghini becomes GTD Pro
The #60 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 will move from GTD to GTD Pro in the revised provisional entry list for this weekend’s Roar Before The 24 at Daytona.
The line-up of Claudio Schiavoni, Matteo Cressoni and new Lamborghini factory drivers Matteo Cairoli and Romain Grosjean was judged by IMSA to be more appropriately placed in the Pro class.
GTD Pro will have a maximum of 13 cars as both Iron Lynx and Huracan will be participating, while the GTD class will be reduced to 23 cars.
Schiavoni, the bronze-rated No. 60 car driver, must complete a minimum of two hours during the race per GTD Pro Sport regulations, compared to four hours and 30 minutes in GTD.
However, new rules in the IMSA Sporting Regulations for this season allow teams to make only one class change per category (series) throughout the year, subject to IMSA’s discretion. This is in response to a small number of his GTD Pro team and GTD team changing between his two classes in 2023.
