Pit Bull Terrier (Pure Breed)
Tersea (pronounced Telsea) came to us ready to have puppies and within a week she had safely given birth to 10 puppies. After months of puppy care and weaning, she is spayed and ready to find her forever home. Tersea is a natural mother to her puppies, caring and protective, but not so much that she can’t hold them as much as we would like. She is sweet and playful and loves to be around other dogs and people. She is perfectly well behaved and can stay inside for about 6 hours. She would do well in a home with a dog and family that will give her the attention she wants. The funny thing about Tersea is that when she’s ready to go out by the door, she spins around and makes a silly squealing howl-like noise. It makes us laugh every time. She doesn’t care about cats. Come meet Tersea!

He’s intelligent, so he’ll do well in a home with kids and other dogs. He’s very cute, and will get bored of you very quickly.

Brookie has arrived! This little southern girl just arrived after a long journey from rural Louisiana. She was abandoned outside the Red Box near the grocery store. She is very friendly and attentive with kids and adults at AFH’s adoption events and loves to be petted and hugged by anyone who happens to stop by! Despite being in a new environment, she is very hilarious and goofy, chasing butterflies and wondering what that noisy mechanical bird is that keeps flying overhead from the airport! Brookie seems comfortable riding and lounging in her crate, and we plan to leash train her and let her relieve herself outside on nice days! She is about half grown and I think she will be a medium sized dog when she is fully grown. Looking at her, I think she may have a little bit of beagle in her blood, but who can tell. Brookie has soft beautiful blonde fur with white toes and other accents. This cute pup has it all – personality, curiosity and joie de vivre! Summer fun is here! Here she comes too! Find her a new home as soon as possible!

Gators are very friendly, easy-going, beautiful and soft-coated dogs. They understand many commands, sleep in their crates at night and take naps in the afternoon. They are also very well trained. They get along well with other dogs, both large and small. They have a good appetite, so they are easy to train. They get along well with people, including children. Gators love to play with balls, but also play with toys. They are good on-leash walkers and love to explore. They will grow to be a medium-sized dog when they reach adulthood. Meet Gators and fall in love.
