Precision-fermented egg developer Every Company has announced a new partnership with Spanish omelette maker Grupo Empresarial Palacios Alimentación (Grupo Palacios).
Palacios plans to incorporate EveryEgg, an animal-free, vegan egg ingredient made using Every’s precision fermentation process, into its flagship Spanish omelet and also use the technology in research and development of new products.
Palacios began as a local butcher in Albelda de Irregua, La Rioja, Spain. The company has since grown into a major multinational company and diversified its offerings to offer a range of food products, including fresh tortillas, refrigerated pizzas, frozen pastries and entirely plant-based products.
The partnership with Every, announced this week and formalised through a commercial agreement, aims to bring quality ingredients and innovation to traditional dishes to create new global culinary experiences.
According to a press release issued by EVERY, Palacios said he was “thoroughly amazed” by the taste and culinary versatility of the animal-free eggs, praising their ability to “seamlessly blend” into a wide range of dishes while retaining the authentic flavor and texture of high-quality chicken eggs.
News of this latest partnership follows another collaboration announcement from Every last week: Partners with Landish Foods to launch new line of protein-rich beverage powders It will be sold to U.S. consumers under the new brand name “Fermy.”
