A low news day? Or rather a low news day. Month While we look for ways to pass the time while waiting for the Philadelphia Eagles to assemble for training camp on July 23, we turn to an annual Bleeding Green Nation tradition: checking out which former Eagles players are still playing in the NFL or other professional football leagues.

- I put an asterisk
- Alongside the 14 teams the Eagles will face this season.
- The AFC North had the most former Eagles players in the division at this time last year, surpassed by the NFC North, with the influence of former Eagles executive and current Bears assistant general manager Ian Cunningham clearly evident, as well as Pittsburgh’s Andy Weidle.
- It’s a bit of a shame that two members of the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl team, Ertz and Mills, are now playing for division rivals.
- The number of former Eagles in the NFC East has increased from three at this time last year to nine now.
- It will be very interesting to see how Wentz performs as the Chiefs’ QB2 if Patrick Mahomes is unavailable.
- Eric Tomlinson’s career is an interesting one to me considering he didn’t make the Eagles roster as a UDFA in 2015. He played in 83 games, with 53 starts, and is still fighting for a spot on the roster this season.
- Darby reunited with Doug Pederson this offseason.
- It’s a shame Bosco isn’t with the Eagles this year.
- JMatt is still going strong 10 years after being selected in the 2014 NFL Draft, having switched positions from WR to TE.
- Deontay Burnett’s last NFL catch was during the 2020 season. And he’s still only 26! I still believe! Sign him!
- While we’re talking about possible WR reinforcements, why not bring back DeAndre Carter as well? For those who missed it,Former Eagles player Hakeem Butler was the UFL Offensive Player of the Year.
- .
- strap!
- If the Eagles could re-acquire one former Eagle player currently under contract, who would you choose? To me, Haason Reddick is the obvious answer. If you rule him out, who else would you choose?
- Which unheralded player would you like to see return?
- At this time last year, four teams had no former Eagles players. Now there’s just one: the Dallas Cowboys. Fitting!
Will Jason Peters still be playing this year at age 42, or will he finally retire?
