For pets, going to the groomer can be a complicated experience. Some pets want to be pampered and show off their new haircut, while others would prefer it not be an obligatory visit. This was the case with Bear, a Labrador retriever who had planned to spend the day at the grooming parlor, but he had other things on his mind.
The fluffy animal, who lives in Carmel, Indiana, garnered attention after a visit to Canine Cloud Nince in Carmel City Center on Sunday when he set off a fire alarm, startling his owner and grooming salon customers at around 2pm. The good news is that no fire was found when firefighters arrived, but it looked like Bear was just ready to go home after a busy day.
The fire department took to social media to report the incident involving the adorable pup: “Upon arriving on scene, Canine Cloud Nine workers explained they had a customer attempting to leave and sounded the alarm to expedite the process. The culprit was identified as Bear, a black Labrador,” the official account wrote.
“We explained to Bear and the other dogs the importance of setting off a false alarm and they promised not to do it again,” the fire department explained. “Our crew had to remain on scene until maintenance arrived and reset the alarm, which gave them plenty of time to play with the pups!” they confessed.
The grooming salon also shared several photos on Facebook, including one of the firefighters playing with the dogs, who also appeared startled when the fire alarm went off.
