The Nebraska Cornhusker softball team was one of the big offseason wins in regards to the transfer portal, as Rhonda Revell’s squad added six key players.
Three of the six new Huskers in the Class of 2025 played their high school softball in Nebraska. The team also returns former All-American and Women’s College World Series winner Jordie Bahr.
Baer transferred to Nebraska in 2024 but was forced to redshirt after tearing his ACL in the season opener against Washington. The Huskers finished the season 30-23 and missed the NCAA Tournament.

A native of Omaha, Hanna won two state titles with Omaha Skutt before transferring to Arkansas. Hanna, a left-handed pitcher, was named to the All-SEC Second Team and compiled a 9-1 record with a 3.07 ERA.

The Omaha native won two state titles at Omaha Scat before heading to Arkansas. Lauren is a catcher who batted .292 with a .377 on-base percentage and a .338 slugging percentage. She also recorded one home run, eight doubles, 19 RBIs and 18 runs scored.

Last season, Cusack was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and All-Region Third Team while batting .318 with 15 doubles, one triple, nine home runs and 32 RBI. During his time at Wisconsin, he appeared in 65 games as a shortstop and 31 games as a second baseman.

The catcher and utility player appeared in 106 games, starting 102 of them, during her career at Arizona. She was named to the All-Pacific 12 second team as a freshman and to the All-Region third team as a sophomore. The California native batted .340 with 15 doubles, 20 home runs and 74 RBIs.

In her two years in Tempe, she posted a 3.51 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 89.2 innings. Last season, she started just four games before injuries shortened her season. As a freshman, she was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team with four wins and a 3.17 ERA.

In 106 career games, she recorded 63 hits, 16 doubles, one triple, and 15 home runs for a .488 batting average. She missed the 2024 season while recovering from surgery. As a freshman, she helped the Razorbacks win the SEC Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
